Delicious at home asian cuisine may seem like a distant dream, but with this recipe it’s completely easy. There is a little cheating required on this one as it involves using a pre-mixed seasoning packet (gasp!), but trust me it’s worth it.
1 lb diced chicken (you can also use stew beef or pork, both turn out great)
1 bunch of green onions thinly sliced
3-4 white mushrooms chopped
1 tbsp of olive oil
1/4 soy sauce
2 tbsp water
1 cup cooked rice (as a side dish)
Dice your meat of choice (chicken, beef or pork) and cook with olive oil in a pan on medium heat until meat is cooked throughout (about 7-10 minutes depending on how small the meat is diced). Once meat is cooked add vegetables and continue to cook on med-low heat for 2-3 minutes. Combine the water and soy sauce in a small bowl with the contents of the seasoning packet and stir until well mixed. Pour sauce mixture over meat and vegetables and stir for 1-2 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Serve with rice.
Note: We’ve tried almost all of the flavors that Sun Bird makes and they are all delicious, Mongolian just happens to be my favorite.
