My Virtual Cookbook: Slowcooker BBQ Chicken

This recipe is by far the easiest, tastiest and simplest one I have ever done in a slow cooker. However despite my excitement over this delectable little dish I can’t take all the credit. My variation came out wonderfully but the link to my inspiration is listed below.

1.5 lb chicken breasts

1/2 tbsp onion powder

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/2 tbsp paprika

8 oz of beer

1 jar of tangy bbq sauce ( I used the HEB Barbeque Sauce “Memphis”)

salt and pepper to taste

wheat hamburger buns

Season chicken with onion powder, garlic salt and paprika on each side. Place chicken in slow cooker and cover in the beer and 1/2 of the jar of bbq sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours turning the chicken 1 to 2 times. Once the chicken is cooked, shred it with a fork and serve on a toasted wheat bun topping it with the remaining bbq sauce.

The muse of this delicious creation.
