Well this recipe has already gone to the dogs..literally! And they loved every bit of it! I’ve got two great big dogs that I love to pieces and are proudly displayed all over my Facebook pictures and the past 3 Christmas cards. Catarina is a 4 year old black mouth cur and Cayenne is a 2 year old rhodesian ridge-back mix, both of which we adopted from the Animal Defense League. I ended up baking this little recipe for them as stocking stuffers for Christmas morning, an activity that is obviously more for my satisfaction than the dog’s enjoyment. It’s quick, easy and stores very well.
1tbsp baking powder
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
1 cup of milk
Preheat oven to 375*F while you combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to approximately 1/4″ thick and use cookie cutters (or different shaped lids) to create shapes. Place on a greased cookie sheet, bake for 20 minutes and cool on a rack. Pretty easy huh!
I hope your canine compadres enjoy!
